Affinity-Belonging Camp East

Come join us Sep 19-24 2025
From oppressed to fully expressed!

Affinity Belonging Camp (AB Camp) is an experimental camp organized, led by, and designed for persons who identify as People of the Global Majority/BIPOC, and/or LGBTQIA+/Genderqueer folks, and their allies.

For summer 2024 we had a mix of up to 50 - 70 campers that include approximately 35 percent PGM/BiPoC, 35 percent LGBTQIA+/Genderqueer, and 30 percent folks who are drawn towards this liberation work as allies.

AB Camp Goals

To co-create a supportive community, a love-filled nest, where camp participants are invited to speak about the wounds they carry as a result of stereotyping, discrimination and systemic oppression

’To incorporate music, food and dress from multiple ethnicities.

To liberate ourselves from these wounds and then to fly the nurturing nest we’ve created through growing perspectives, skills and trusted friendships that allow us to move from oppression to full expression, without shame or fear, wherever we find ourselves.

To initiate a multi-year plan to strengthen and deepen the work of liberation-for-all within our community.

To build compassionate connections between people from different affinity groups, allies, and the NFNC community

To bring this work back to the larger NFNC community so that we can serve more marginalized folks.

AB Camp is for those who:

  • Identify as Person of the Global Majority (PGM aka BIPOC) or LGBTQIA+

  • Want to learn to be a better ally and support others in marginalized groups

  • Want to share your learnings with your community outside of camp

  • Want to make the world a better place for all ❤️
